Welcome to Tangle! Our goal is to build a safe environment where users feel comfortable sharing their experiences with others. If you are looking for a place where you can be yourself and trust that others will be as kind and accepting of you as you are to them, you’re in the right place. Your safety, privacy, and enjoyment are our top priorities. We’ve listed our community policies below. Violation of any of these policies may result in a permanent ban from Tangle and, for everyone’s safety, we reserve the right to remove any user at any time.  If you see any behavior that violates these policies, we’d love for you to let us know in the Tangle app or by emailing report@tangletheapp.com.

HATE SPEECH

Any content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on differences such as (but not limited to) sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, and disability is strictly not allowed.

 

EXPLICIT CONTENT

We’re not telling you to wear formal attire and avoid slang but keep your behavior appropriate for public consumption. No nudity, no sexually explicit content, and only write something you’d be okay showing up in a Google search for your name. Keep it respectful. Don’t make us send your mom a screenshot of something you post or write (joking, but not really).

 

PROSTITUTION AND TRAFFICKING

Promoting or advocating for sexual services, human trafficking, or other non-consensual sexual acts is strictly prohibited and will result in your account being removed.

 

MINORS

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Tangle. Please do not post any content of unaccompanied minors. If you want to post photos of your children or any younger family members or siblings, please make sure that you are in the photo as well. If you see content that includes an unaccompanied minor, encourages harm to a minor, or depicts a minor in a sexual or suggestive way, please report it immediately either in the Tangle app or by emailing report@tangletheapp.com.

 

HARASSMENT

If you engage in or encourage others to engage in any abuse or harassment against any other user, you will be permanently banned from Tangle. This includes posting any unsolicited sexual content. Please report any stalking, threatening, bullying, intimidation, and harassment either in your app or by emailing report@tangletheapp.com. We do not tolerate any offensive, violent, graphic, or hateful content on Tangle, including any actions or content that promote or threaten danger of any type, or threatening or promoting terrorism. Emotional or physical assault, coercion, and any acts of harassment or violence are strictly prohibited.

 

SCAMMING

Tangle does not tolerate predatory behavior of any kind. Anyone attempting to get other users’ private information may be banned. Any user caught sharing their information for the purpose of receiving money may also be banned from Tinder.

 

IMPERSONATION

Be yourself, everybody else is taken! Do not misrepresent yourself or your connection with any person or entity. 

 

MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS OR OWNERS

1 great person = 1 great account. 

 

THIRD PARTY TECHNOLOGY

The use of any technology created by anyone other than Tangle that claim to offer our service or unlock special Tangle features is not allowed.

COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT

If it’s not yours, please don’t post it. 

 

ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

Illegal activity and anything related to it will not be tolerated on Tangle.

 

PRIVATE INFORMATION

Don’t share any private information, yours or anyone else’s. This includes (but is not limited to) your or other’s place of residence, social security numbers, passport numbers, passwords, financial information, contact information, personal preferences, locational habits, or any personal details.

 

PROMOTION OR SOLICITATION

Be real. Be yourself. Don’t use Tangle to try to drive people to external platforms. It’s fine to invite others to something, but if your purpose on Tangle is for the promotion of any entity or to conduct research, we may delete your account permanently.
